Joao Maraschin SS25 Runway Show
For Joao Maraschin's spring/summer '25 showcase, the Brazilian designer drew inspiration from a year of travel and exploration, culminating in the collection titled “ROAD TRIP.” "My brand has always been a personal exercise of my creativity, evolving as I grow as a designer and as a person. It is a living organism,” says Joao. This season, the collection reflects the diverse experiences and inspirations gathered on his journeys, merging new materials with refined familiar ones and fostering both new and established partnerships. The SS25 collection was unveiled on August 6th at Copenhagen Fashion Week, with the show set in a skatepark to embody Joao’s effortless approach to image creation. Buzzcut Zeazon led the production, PR, and guest management, working closely with Joao’s team to ensure a seamless event. Buzzcut’s role included coordinating with creative talents, venue representatives, and technical crews, highlighting the show’s focus on sustainability and craftsmanship. Joao’s collection introduces blue to his signature off-white, green, orange, and red, emphasizing practicality and comfort with the addition of hoodies and tracksuit bottoms in vibrant jacquards. The collection also features luxury basics re-edited in print, denim pieces using TENCEL™, handmade oversized pullovers, and macrame and crochet pieces central to the brand’s identity. “As travelers, we continually learn and negotiate our personal meanings with everyone we meet on the road,” Joao explains, reflecting on the blend of old and new pieces in the collection.
