Sunflower SS27 Runway Show
Sunflower’s Spring/Summer 2027 runway show marked the brand’s debut show in Florence and introduced a more elevated expression of its menswear universe while remaining rooted in its core principles of simplicity, character, and craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from the directness of rock music and the enduring appeal of timeless wardrobe staples, Collection 17 focused on refined tailoring, leather, denim, knitwear, and everyday essentials. Familiar silhouettes returned sharper and more defined, balancing precision with ease through elongated tailoring, cinematic leather outerwear, fluid silk suiting, and the launch of Sunflower’s first footwear offering. Presented during Pitti Uomo 110 at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the show reimagined the traditional runway format as a live performance. Copenhagen-based musicians August Rosenbaum and Jakob Littauer performed an original soundtrack live as the cast moved through the space, blurring the boundaries between fashion presentation and musical act. Casting combined personalities from both Copenhagen and Florence, creating a dialogue between the brand’s hometown and its host city while reinforcing Sunflower’s commitment to authenticity and individuality. The production formed part of Copenhagen Fashion Week’s 20-year anniversary programme and was presented as the CPHFW Special Project at Pitti Uomo 110, in collaboration with Copenhagen Fashion Week and Pitti Immagine. Buzzcut Zeazon led PR and Guest Management in close collaboration with the Pitti Uomo team, supporting the international presentation and bringing together industry guests, press, and key cultural figures. With Collection 17, Sunflower continued its evolution toward a more focused and mature expression, staying true to its philosophy of creating honest, character-driven clothing informed by music, culture, and everyday life.
